Signs, Shapes & Colours... a Mural in the Making

Using the exhibtion of paintings by Rae Hicks that was on show at ASC Gallery during July 2016, I worked with a group of children on a drop in basis at InSpire youth cetre, We made drawings from the paintings, from imagination and from the streets surrounding the gallery and centre. Scaling the drawings up and reducing them to shapes we used paint to colour the large componenets that all added to the collaborative wall based painting.

In the near future I will be working with the centre and the gallery to secure a location on the Aylesbury estate to realise the mural in a semi permanent location, before the estate is entirely 'redeveloped'
