FAST youth group

I was asked to work with FAST by the Pumphouse Gallery in Battersea Park, from exhibiting my work 'Cheap Laughs' with them, they thought I would be good working on a large scale outside project. I went away and made a proposal to teach some basic construction techniques and generate a structure that the participants would be able to move about and curate as a space that they might inhabit or enjoy.

The week went really well and all the participants worked hard to obtain the skills to saw and drill lengths of wood together. We dyed sheets of fabric to compartmentalise the spaces with, a very happy side effect of this was that it provided a screen that silhouettes could be seen through in the sunshine, we ended the week with lots of poses in the cubes.
